Welcome to Sinner's Grin, an original anime roleplay taking place in the fantasy/slight sci-fi genre. It may be a vague plot, but it's up to you, the member, to participate in sub-plots created by other members, or you can create one yourself to keep the roleplay progressing. You also have a wide variety of choices of what your character can do. He or she can be in the military, be a civilian with any job, or be someone from the normal universe that traveled to the war infested one. Hell, your character can even be apart of the Royal Family!
We are a semi-literate roleplay though, so we expect a good two paragraphs from all members that choose to roleplay with us. A paragraph would be at least five to seven detailed sentences. Well, we hope to see you there!

Tellius has entered a golden age of peace. The continent hasn't seen war for a few decades, now, and everyone is feeling a weight being lifted off of their shoulders. But while violence isn't an issue, there is still the problem of equality between the races. For as long as anyone could remember, many beorc have feared the laguz and looked down on them in disdain. Proud as they are, the laguz have returned these feelings without hesitation. While a few nations are trying to lead the continent into a new era of acceptance, others are intent on dragging it behind. The only thing that is certain is that, if things stew for too long, something will have to bubble over.

As it's been two weeks, I'd like to bump.
It seems, though, from the last post dates, last login date of the creator, and chat in the cbox that SD has been having some activity issues. With any luck this is just the same issue most sites have been having and will resolve within a week or two when everyone is out of school. :3 For SD both as a site and potential affie I hope indeed it is~
Good affies are always worth a wait, and always deserve benefit of the doubt, of course. ^^ And then, of course, if the request is declined, that's understandable too. ':3; Just let me know something once this has been looked at and decided upon..
I just don't want to keep pestering if it really IS real inactivity though, since that looks silly and inconsiderate on my part. '^~; (I HATE searching for affies and coming across a board where every post for two months has been guests in the ads. T.T It's like 'Jesus, the site died, can you let it rest in peace, or if you really want to post leave something encouraging if the admin comes back, or something?' *SHOT* '^^; Well..) As such, I'll probably bump this once more in another week, depending on how many posts there have been to push it down since then. If there's been no reply by the end of the month, either as a yes or a no, then I'll be withdrawing my request, as I do hate to leave open questions like that. '^~;

Chapter 1:Aftermath
The time of Naruto Uzumaki is long since passed, having served as one of Konoha's most benevolent Hokages he passed away now more than a century ago. These days things are... different. The Five Nations, while still formidable are nothing like the power they once were, so much so that the shinobi villages long deemed 'lesser' powers seek to rise up and challenge the establishment which was established during the time of the First Hokage. Additionally there have been numerous reports of 'rising' villages, usurpers to the positions of those long established powers and their smaller counterparts. Some are less than a decade old but all want to carve out their fair share of the continent and if war is necessary to do thus well... the old powers were never much good at sharing.
While stopping at the brink of all out warfare the current political situation teeters upon the top of a precipice, the fall from which would be a long and unpleasant one, another Shinobi War. Peace stands upon the knife's edge and there are forces, interests and people which would throw it from that precarious perch. But down in the darkness which awaits there is yet a glimmer of light and a fragment of hope.
A mysterious and shadowy group known only as Tenmou has recently emerged seeking to unite the fractured Nations under one banner, further threatening an age old system of governance, the Daimyo, already threatened by emerging political ideas the Lords understandably have leveled all their power against Tenmou in order to preserve themselves. But the organization is more than happy to engage and defeat such armies.
This is a moment of choice for the whole world, a crossroads to which there is no return journey, an irreversible game of chance. This is The Aftermath.
A city that never sleeps a party town were the locals never come out at night and the weekly meets are held in the large castle on the hill where the “lady” of the city lives. A city where new comers always come and never go, where missing posters from the surrounding areas hang everywhere.
Welcome to Grey city were the daylight hours look like a ghost town and the parties are off the hook, were pale butlers and maids garnish ever house. Windows face away from the sun and long iron gates block off large green yards, where strange collars adorn all the works and were “rich” party all night.
This is a new era were holograms answer the door and where shop keepers program workers for their shops. An era for the so called rich whose lives have passed for centuries, where humans are food and lovers. A luring city of lights and music where the best parties are held only to gain new servants while the old ones are drained. The lady of the land crowns her richest with titles fitting those of the medieval era claiming that she would rather call them lords and ladies then brothers and dawgs. With that in mind each resident vampire is given a title before they allowed or appointed to move into the area, the humans only see her as a “mayor “ type figure for the town.
Treasure. That simple word can bring out the demons of anyone's soul. Especially pirates. Now imagine these devils of the sea more dangerous; Vampiric and Demonic kind of dangerous. All sailing for with the same goal in mind: Fame, Fortune, and the world bowing down to them. Now also imagine, that the seas aren't as calm and peaceful like they are now. Imagine sea monsters, as big as a ship. Imagine Davy Jones coming out of the sea whenever it is necessary to take the dearly departed sailors away from their great adventure for good.
It doesn't help that in this world, all the races found in nightmares; vampires, demons, werewolves, fallens, and angels are fighting, pillaging, raping, and plundering. Trying to win the battle around them. Though there is hope; some humans and other races have taken to join the Royal Navy Guard, to stop the piracy before it gets way out of hand. When even some Guards are stooping so low as to accepting 'gifts' from the pirates themselves.
While some stay away from the adventurous waters of the sea and take a more civil way of living, there are in just as much danger. Each race seems to be on the point of walking the boundary of starting a full out war, and as the days go by the line just seems to get smaller and smaller.
In a world were your best friend can be your worst enemy the next day. Where Davy Jones and sea monsters can kill you with just a sweep of their hands; you could be the king of everything one day then sleeping with the fishes the next.

A Fantasy RPG based on the world in 2010 when humans have contracted an infection. The 'gods', taking pity on the creatures, bestow upon them marks of power. While ridding the infected of the plague, it also changes them from humans to one of eight choices: vampire, lycan, seraphim, demon, shift, elemental, necromancer, or mage.
Will you fight over Noone as one of a clan? Or will you attempt to revert back to your human form? Will you choose to rain terror on those unmarked citizens, or will you hunt down the marked as the demons they have turned into? The choice is yours!

a intermediate-advanced fantasy/evangelic roleplay --------------
The year is 2020... but something isn't right.
There's chaos in the city. No one knows what caused this epidemic to happen. The other cities are perfect. Nothing happened... so why did it only affect us? Why was Panamoor City the only city to have been struck by this disastor? It wiped out half of our population...two hundred and fifty thousand people to be approximate. There is so much confusion in the aftermath. So much grief...pain and a sense of loneliness like no other. What happened to us?
PANAMOOR CITY is changing.... and not for the better.
Vampires don't exist. It's just not possible. But today, on the streets, I saw one feeding. People have been seeing things happen, strange things that no one can really explain. There have been reports of lycans, angels and demons of walking the city during broad daylight. I can only think that they are freaks trying to gain attention, but then there are necromancers and mages using magic, yes magic, in broad daylight. This isn't supposed to be real. It can't be real.
What do these MARKS mean... genes have mutated.
I don't understand this at all. People are being marked with odd tattoo's, but they dont all have the same color. Some do, and some don't. And then...strange things happen to them. They start changing. Scientists believe that somehow, during the epidemic, the surviving people had their genes mutated. But can we really be sure? Can we be absolutely sure? There must have been something...wait, what is that? Is that...is that an Archangel? Wow...she is absolutely beautiful...so stunning. Who is that besides her? Is...is he a God of some kind?
Everyone has run out of TIME... your heart is pounding.
No. No this can't be...I have been marked and marked with a red tattoo. Research has shown that this is the mark of a demon. Am I really to become a demon? I do not want to change...I do not want to be marked. Oh God, if there is a God, can you save us? AHHH! The pain! It is in agonizing...what am i becoming? Fangs? Wings? Ohh, the pain...it hurts. I cannot bear it for much longer...what? What are these? Claws? Why...why am I suddenly hungry for...for flesh? Is that a hunter? No. No. I can't be...but I am...I'm a--

It is Today in Tokyo, Japan.
Perfect World is an urban fantasy roleplay set in present-day Tokyo, inspired by Watase Yuu's Fushigi Yuugi (the Mysterious Play), with additional inspiration from themes found in the Dresden Files, Darker Than Black, Supernatural, and other such media.. We offer homes for canon characters from the source material and original characters of whatever fantasy power level strikes you as interesting. Magicians rub elbows with schoolgirls; priestesses run contact with salarymen; shinto demons and spirituality gone amuck. Choose your own adventure, where the adventure is awesome.

Regular, modern-day people: students, businessmen, real-life folks Organized (or unorganized) crime Magicians of various flavors Shapeshifters, particularly of an Asian variety (kitsune == rad) Shinto clergy and/or other people who can handle demons Angry spirits, youkai, things that go bump in the night The hands of the beast gods and their phenomenal cosmic powers Historians, linguists, social scientists, paranormal experts

The day of May 11th, 2007, was the day Shibusen City would never be the same. In an attempt to try and better humanity, by attempting to give them superhuman abilities. A company known as, Pineherst, ended up making a virus, which was the idea that this virus would mutate the DNA of people and give them superhuman abilities. The T-Virus was created and it fell into the wrong hands, so says Pineherst. The T-Virus was untested and no one knew what was going to happen. Cases of people turning into something went around Shibusen City. It wasn't long for them to figure out that the virus, T-Virus, Pineherst made was responsible for turning people into flesh eating zombies.
Pineherst denied any involvement in the matter and simply wanted nothing to do with it. The citizens in Shibusen City live in fear and have to keep their doors locked at night so the flesh eating zombies don't come into their houses and feed on them while they are asleep. Not only that but reports are going around Shibusen City saying that someone, or someones, are going around effecting people with the T-Virus.
A secret orginazation known as MOM. was created. This orginazation are zombie slayers. They are trained in the arts of weaponry and other things to slay zombies. They protect the citizens of Shibusen City.
Even with MOM. working hard, the 3 years that the virus has spread around Shibusen City hasn't helped them much. Now 2010, the T-Virus has claimed almost everyone in Shibusen City as a zombie. Search for survivors, join in the fight and play as a zombie slayer, Pineherst employee, or stay neutral.
